Mtg Proxy Pros & Cons
Pros
1
Affordability: MTGProxy.com offers significantly cheaper alternatives to official Magic: The Gathering (MTG) cards, making it easier for players to experiment with new deck ideas or play with powerful cards without breaking the bank.
2
Customization: Players can create their own custom cards, whether for fun or for use in a custom game format, allowing for unique artwork and modifications.
3
Convenience: The service allows for quick and easy creation of a large number of cards for playtesting or casual play, using digital software.
4
Quality: MTGProxy's cards are reported to be of high quality, better than many low-quality proxies available elsewhere, making them suitable for playtesting new cards.
CONS
1
Legality: MTGProxy.com cards are not legal for use in official MTG tournaments, which can be a downside for players looking to compete at a higher level.
2
Quality Variability: The quality of the cards can vary, and some players may not like the idea of using cards that are not officially printed by Wizards of the Coast.
3
Limited Availability: While resources are available, the cards may not be as widely available as official cards, making it harder to find specific cards.
4
Impact on Secondary Market: The use of MTGProxy.com cards could potentially disrupt the secondary market for genuine MTG cards, as they offer a cheaper alternative, which might devalue official cards.
